When I was a kid my grandpa owned a local backhoe and hauling service. It was a family business. My grandma handled the office, my dad worked along side my grandpa and I spent as much time as I could getting in the way. Through the years I would spend my spare time in the shop helping turn wrenches, changing filters and greasing trucks. As I got a little older I started operating equipment and learning how to drive trucks.
After school I decided to chase the corporate dream. This led my wife and I to relocate to Charlotte NC and start a family. I was able to refine my business management and leadership skills working for Circle K as a District Manager. However, I never quite fit in and kept finding myself being drawn back to my blue collar roots. So I left my corporate job and joined one of North Carolina’s largest and most respected towing companies, Hunter Wrecker. During my time there I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry and develop my skills to hauling and securing oversize and overweight loads.
After more than 10 years living in Charlotte, we decided it was time to go back home to eastern NC. Where we are able to be closer to our family, raise our beautiful daughter and enjoy our horses. We were also blessed to have the opportunity to use the skills I had developed over the past 30 years to start our own trucking business. Just like my grandparents, we are a family ran company and believe in hard work, dedication and faith.
